At SMAY, we focus on quality

The purpose of SMAY Group activities is to ensure the high quality of our products and services, and the full satisfaction of our customers.

We maintain high quality standards through implemented and certified systems:

quality management – in accordance with ISO 9001: 2015,
factory production control – audited annually by 4 independent notified certification bodies.

The highest quality standard and guaranteed performance properties of the products are confirmed by laboratory tests performed in accredited independent laboratories and in the company’s own laboratory.

Quality supported by certificates and tests

Thanks to the tests conducted and systems implemented to ensure the high and repeatable quality of products, the company has dozens of certificates issued by independent bodies, including:

  • ISO 9001: 2015 Certificate,
  • Certificates of constancy of performance – confirming compliance with the requirements of harmonised standards: 12101-2:2003, EN 12101-3:2015, EN 12101-7:2011, EN 12101-8:2011, EN 12101-10:2005+AC:2007, EN 15650:2010, EN 54-4:1997 + AC:1999+A1:2002+A2:2006,
  • National certificates of constancy of performance – confirming compliance with the requirements specified in the national technical assessments (NTCs) issued for the company,
  • EX Declarations of Conformity – confirming the applicability of selected products in hazardous areas,
  • Declarations of conformity with European directives: LVD and EMC,
  • Certificates of approval – confirming compliance with the requirements specified in the Regulation of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration of June 20th 2007, on the list of products used to ensure public safety or protection of health and life and property.

The company implements systematic cooperation with independent experts and the research and scientific community, which include: The European Committee for Standardization (CEN), international industry organisations: ASHRAE and REVHA, The Institute of Industrial Aerodynamics (I.F.I.) in Aachen (Germany), CNBOP – Scientific and Research Centre for Fire Protection – PIB, ITB – The Institute of Building Technology, Research Laboratory FIRES s.r.o in Batizovce (Slovakia), The National Centre for Research and Development, Warsaw University of Technology, The Silesian University of Technology, AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow.
