The international Women in Fire Safety Awards is a prestigious competition bringing together women from all over the world who are working dynamically in the fire safety industry. The event aims to promote female power and highlight the contributions of women, who have significantly improved fire safety standards in Europe and around the world. We are proud that the Vice-President of SMAY, Marzena Maj, was among the three finalists of the competition. The idea of the “Woman in Fire Safety Awards” competition was created by Chloe Vickery and Kate Blake. Female veterans in the fire safety industry want not only to honour female internationally recognised experts, but also to inspire the next generation of women to advance their careers in this challenging but inclusive environment. The vice-president of SMAY, Marzena Maj, has been nominated for an award in the “International Woman of the Year” category.
