VENTILATION SYSTEMS IN VINCI OFFICE CENTRE Kraków

VENTILATION SYSTEMS IN VINCI OFFICE CENTRE

Kraków

This fourteen-storey office building is modern not only in its architecture and applied ICT and surveillance systems, but also on account of ultra-modern fire protection systems and efficient and energy-saving general ventilation and air-conditioning systems. Properly designed fire ventilation dampers, air regulation dampers, grilles, silencers and prefabricated ducting improve ventilation air quality, save energy, thus ensuring smaller investment costs.
Assembly, programming and start-up was performed on the differential pressure system and smoke venting device and commissioning tests were conducted.
To control the spread of fire, heat and smoke through ventilation ducts in case of a fire, and to cut off a part of the zone that is engulfed in fire from the rest of the building, custom-design fire dampers were used, and specifically the world’s first KTM-ME-VAV cut-off fire dampers with airflow regulation function, known as DaVinci. In addition, a well-designed measuring and regulation system for the facility enables the unit to operate as a fully functional VAV regulator, performing airflow regulation functions in regular building operation. It is capable of responding to load changes in the respective compartments, which makes it extremely flexible and adaptive to any potential extension/redevelopment of the facility, where it is operated. In terms of smoke control in all fire escape routes and the lift shaft for emergency responders, our proprietary SAFETY WAY® pressure differential regulation method is used, compliant with PN-EN 12101-6.
