Innovative PepsiCo Factory Equipped with SMAY Ventilation Solutions
ŚwiętePepsiCo’s most eco-friendly factory in Europe has been equipped with SMAY ventilation solutions. The PepsiCo plant in Święte near Środa Śląska operates on a closed-loop economy principle, and thanks to the implemented technological solutions, the facility will soon become carbon neutral in terms of CO2 emissions.
We Provided Ventilation Solutions for PepsiCo’s New Factory
Wow! This development is truly impressive. Operating on the principles of a circular economy, the PepsiCo factory, which spans the size of seven football pitches, is creating over 450 jobs in the region and is currently PepsiCo’s most sustainable development in Europe. The project design and construction management were handled by Arup, Budimex served as the general contractor, and Electra M&E Polska was responsible for the execution of the ventilation installation. It is for this innovative facility that we supplied SMAY ventilation solutions.
Where There Are Innovations, There Are SMAY Ventilation Products
Minimising the environmental impact of the factory and achieving zero carbon footprint were the primary goals during the design and construction of the project. And it succeeded! Today, the PepsiCo factory in Święte, near Środa Śląska, is one of the most energy-efficient plants in Europe. The facility uses only “green” energy sources, including photovoltaic panels and a planned wind turbine, and employs innovative waste heat recovery technologies, which significantly reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.
SMAY Air Supply Elements and Dampers Ensure Efficient Airflow Control in the PepsiCo Factory
Ventilation dampers are key tools for controlling airflow in a ventilation system. Thanks to their advanced design and wide range of applications, dampers form the foundation of an efficient HVAC system tailored to the specific needs of any facility. Our dampers, along with air supply elements, have been installed in the modern PepsiCo factory.
A Comprehensive Project Focused on Energy Efficiency
The production and cooling processes utilise a circular water management system that repeatedly uses mains and rainwater, saving resources and reducing environmental impact. In addition to maximising carbon dioxide emission reductions, circular economy principles have been implemented to recover and reuse as many components from the production process as possible. According to the calculated carbon footprint, the PepsiCo factory aims to achieve carbon neutrality in terms of CO2 emissions by 2035.
