On September 14 and 15, 2022, the SMAY Open Days took place. For two days jam-packed full of knowledge and opportunities to exchange experiences, our guests were able to visit our new headquarters in Podłęże and get a behind-the-scenes look at how our ventilation systems operate.

How does it work? SMAY systems presentations

Practice makes perfect, which is why during the Open Days our experts presented how the ZODIC staircase smoke exhaust system and iSway overpressure systems actually work in practice. Participants took part in demonstrations of the operating of our systems with an explanation of how they’re constructed, and became familiar with the installation principles and operation of fire protection devices. Theoretical knowledge combined with its practical presentation was just one part of many inspiring activities that awaited everyone who participated in the event.

There is no innovation without development

SMAY Open Days are primarily valuable training sessions conducted by industry experts. During the two days devoted to domestic and fire ventilation, we talked about how to avoid design errors, why it is worth using numerical analysis in design, how choosing the right ventilation system affects the level of user comfort, what the design standards are and why it is worth optimising the operation of ventilation systems.
