VENTILATION SYSTEMS FOR LABORATORIES IN NEW TECHNOLOGIES CENTRE OF THE SILESIAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY
GliwiceEffective and energy-efficient ventilation systems for laboratories
The facility uses a custom-design SMAYLAB® system as a comprehensive solution for air flow control in laboratory rooms, whose total surface area is ca. 7000 m². The system is provided with a frequency control system for inverters of fume hoods using air flow speed regulation in the fume hood window through a pull rope transmitter and air flow speed sensor. The system was started up and the ventilation parameters were surveyed. The system complies with all requirements of PN-EN 1475 part 2 and 6 in its version for explosive atmospheres and standard rooms. In addition, SAFETY WAY® with terminal units, such as grilles, diffusers and fire dampers, ensures an immediate response by extracting smoke from escape routes.
